TAS

TAS is the flagship leadership development programme that grooms high potential talent for challenging leadership positions within the Tata group. Established by JRD Tata in 1956, it offers cross-functional opportunities across diverse industries and geographies; broadens perspectives and gives future managers a chance to learn from topmost leadership within the group. TAS adopts a life-cycle approach towards career development of promising talent and provides each manager with the necessary developmental inputs- functional and behavioural- at every stage of their career to enable smooth transitions across roles and levels and ensuring effective delivery on the job. Encouraged to take up important tasks that are in sync with their intrinsic interests, TAS aims at developing general managers and functional specialists, keeping the need of the group in mind. At every stage, their performance is assessed, and critical inputs given, so that when it’s time for them to take up leadership positions, they are ready.
