HR Live Project - Improving gender diversity for sales in RB

Objective of the Project:

Currently, the sales workforce in RB stands at only 7% women which is almost half of the % of women in RB overall (at 15%). The idea of this project is to look at this gap critically and create ways to bridge the same via interventions on hiring, culture building, looking at external partners who can help us along the way and policy changes in RB which can make the change concrete. The intern will be expected to think of creative and out-of-the-box solutions on all these fronts.

Project Deliverables (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound ):

a) Benchmarking the diversity practices in top 15 FMCG companies in India (especially the ones ahead of RB in the gender diversity journey)

b) Interview sales women/other employees in RB for insights on what interventions could be made in this space

c) Explore partnerships with external companies/agencies/govt. bodies to hire and retain women in the sales workforce

d) Create an end-to-end year-long plan to drive diversity agenda via culture building, hiring right, retaining the women in the space and building external partnerships to strengthen it all

Note: 

Project Sponsors are managers in positions like Marketing Manager, Regional Manager, Factory Manager, Heads of Modern Trade, Trade Marketing, Sales Development, and Finance Controllers, who sponsor & own the project. They will be responsible for monitoring the progress and evaluating the performance of the Summer Interns. 

Project Guides are the DRs of the Project Sponsors, who will regularly interact and provide guidance to the interns on the project. They will also be responsible for monitoring the progress and evaluating the performance of the Summer Interns.
