The prestigious JSW Challenge 2024 is here, offering an unparalleled opportunity for B-school students across India to tackle real-world challenges in sustainability and innovation. Organized by JSW in collaboration with InsideIIM, this case study competition aims to inspire new ideas and solutions in the field of sustainable steel production.
The Theme: Solid Waste Recycling and Utilization
In 2024, the JSW Challenge focuses on the critical issue of Solid Waste Recycling and Utilization. As industries worldwide face mounting pressure to adopt eco-friendly practices, the steel sector has a significant role to play in reducing waste and advancing sustainable practices. This challenge calls on participants to leverage technology and creativity to propose impactful solutions for waste reduction, recycling, and optimized resource usage in steel production.

Rules & Guidelines
Step-by-Step Guide to Join the Challenge
- Form Your Team - Create a team of three students from your own B-school. It’s a great way to connect, brainstorm, and collaborate, even if everything is happening online.
- Register Your Team - Your team leader should register the team on InsideKampus.com, using the same email addresses for all team members. The team leader will provide all the necessary information and set up a unique team name.
- Competition Structure - The JSW Challenge 2024 consists of three rounds:
Round 1: You’ll receive a business case on InsideKampus.com. Submit a brief introduction of your team and an outline of your approach to the case (max. three pages or slides).
Round 2: Selected teams will advance to submit a comprehensive PowerPoint or PDF presentation that addresses all key aspects of the case study in detail.
Final Round: The top teams will be invited to the JSW Office in Mumbai to present their ideas to a panel of JSW judges. (JSW will arrange travel and accommodation for this round.) - Exciting Rewards - The winning team will receive a Pre-Placement Interview (PPI) and a cash prize of Rs. 6 lakhs from JSW. The runner-up team will receive a cash prize of Rs. 3 lakhs.

The JSW Challenge 2024 is open to first and second-year students enrolled in two-year flagship PGP/MBA programs from the following B-schools:

Important Note:
- MIP Interns Exclusion: Any student who participated in this year’s JSW Management Internship Programme (MIP) is ineligible to join a team, and teams including MIP interns will be disqualified.
- Team Formation: Students must form teams exclusively with peers from their own B-schools.
