FAQs

1. Is there any registration fee?

    No, there is no registration fee.  

2. Who can participate in the challenge?

    All the students of the college can participate in the challenge.

3. Can a person be a part of two teams?

    No, a person can be part of only one team.

4. Can a team submit more than one solution?

    No, only one solution can be submitted by the team. The first submission will be considered as the final submission. 

5. Can a team have members from other courses?

     Yes, a team can have members from other courses, as long as they are from the same college. 

6. How will the results be announced?

   The results will be announced through Emails. Kindly keep a close look out for your emails, and fill your details correctly while registering. 

7. Will the prize be in cash or Electronic Gift Vouchers?

   The prize will be given in the form of  Electronic Gift Vouchers (EGVs) which can be redeemed on Flipkart Website. All the Terms and conditions for Gift Cards (http://www.flipkart.com/buy-gift-voucher) shall be applicable.

8. Will there be any internships offered?*

  No internships will be offered by Flipkart during this competition. However, the finalist will present to the leaders of   Flipkart and stand to win the following prizes:

  Winning team: INR 1,00,000 (Flipkart EGV)

  Runner Up team: INR 50,000 (Flipkart EGV)

  Finalist Teams (3rd, 4th and 5th position): INR 10,000 per team (Flipkart EGV)

  The EGVs are not transferable and all the Terms and conditions for Gift Cards (http://www.flipkart.com/buy-gift-  voucher) shall be applicable for EGVs.

PRELIMINARY

1. The Trailblazer Contest (“Contest”) (defined below) is being run by Flipkart Internet Private Limited (“Flipkart”).

2. By participating in this Contest, the participant (“You”, “Your” or “Participant”) agrees to be bound by the following;

          a. these terms and conditions (“T&C”); 

          b. Terms and Conditions for Gift Cards (http://www.flipkart.com/buy-gift-voucher);

           c. Terms and Conditions of Kampus Konversations.

CONTEST DETAILS

1.    Eligibility

To participate in this Contest, you must be the current student of one of the following campuses;

a. Shri Ram College of Commerce

b. Lady Shri Ram College

c. St. Stephen's College

d. Hindu College

e. Miranda House

f. Hansraj College

g. Gargi College

h. Kirori Mal College

i. Ramjas College

j. Sri Venkateswara College

k. Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies

l. Shaheed Bhagat Singh College

 Team formations 

-You can form a team of a maximum of 3 participants. 

-You can only be a part of 1 team. 

-All team members should be a part of the same college.

-The leader needs to register the team on Kampus Konversation before the end of the registration period.

-In case of a team, once the leader registers on the Kampus Konversations App, they need to go to the Dashboard and input their team name and details of other members.

3.      Construct 

Flipkart Trailblazer will be conducted in 2 rounds. The first round would require you to submit your case solutions for the “Case Study” provided by Flipkart before the deadline. A detailed solution of the same Case Study will be presented by the finalist to Flipkart’s top leaders.

5.      Round 1 - Case Study Challenge 

-All teams must register for the challenge through Kampus Konversations

-Once the Case Study challenge opens, the teams should download the Case Study challenge and work on the challenge.

-Only 1 solution must be submitted by each team. The last submission will be taken as the valid submission.

-Solutions must be submitted as .pptx/.ppt/.pdf presentations of 5 slides (excluding cover slide)

-All assumptions should be clearly stated

-All data points, calculations, excel sheets should be put as appendix.

6.      Round 2 - Finals

Post the submissions, Flipkart will evaluate the solutions to identify the top teams.

In the final round, the qualifying teams will be required to present their solutions in front of a panel of judges. Flipkart’s top leaders will be reviewing the projected. 

-The same case solution is to be used for the final round

-The solutions presented in the final round can be more detailed.

7.      Evaluations 

The evaluation will focus on the following parameters 

• First in the industry (innovation)
• Detailed thought
• Case Study for implementing the solution 
• Presentation 

8.      You acknowledge and confirm that You are aware of the nature of telecommunications/ internet services and that an email transmission may not be received properly and may be read or be known to any unauthorized persons. You agree to assume and bear all the risks involved in respect of such errors and misunderstandings and Flipkart shall not be responsible in any manner.

Other Terms and Conditions

1. All decisions made by Flipkart shall be final and binding.

2. You are not allowed to participate in the Contest as a part of more than one team.

3. The Case Study provided by Flipkart should not be circulated by you in any form and manner.

4. All submissions made to Flipkart will be Flipkart proprietary and Flipkart reserves the right to use the submissions as it deems fit. 

5. Flipkart will not provide reimbursement for any travel/ accommodation for participating in the Contest.

6. Flipkart reserves the right to disqualify You from the benefits of the Contest, if any fraudulent activity is identified as being carried out for availing the benefits under the said Contest or otherwise.

7. The Contest may be withdrawn at the discretion of Flipkart at any point.

8. Flipkart shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or any other liability arising due to participation by any person in this Contest.

9. The Contest shall be subject to force majeure events and on occurrence of such an event, the Offer may be withdrawn at the discretion of Flipkart and/or Seller.

10. This Contest shall be subject to all applicable laws, rules and regulations which are in existence and which may be promulgated anytime by any statutory authority.

11. This Contest shall be governed in accordance with the applicable laws in India. Courts in Bangalore shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute that may arise under this Contest.

12. You are not bound in any way to participate in the Contest. Any such participation is voluntary and the same is being made purely on a best effort basis.

13. Flipkart reserves the right, at any time, without prior notice and without assigning any reason whatsoever, to terminate/ add/alter/modify/change or vary these T&C or to replace, wholly or in part, this Contest by another contest, whether similar to this Contest or not, or to extend or withdraw it altogether.

You shall indemnify and hold Flipkart harmless against all damages, liabilities, costs, expenses, claims, suits and proceedings (including reasonable attorney’s fee) that may be suffered by Flipkart as a consequence of:

            a. Your violation of these T&C;

            b. Your violation of the Terms and conditions for Gift Cards.

            c. Your violation of applicable laws; and

            d. any action or inaction resulting in willful misconduct or negligence on Your part.
