About This Competition
REDEFINE, launched in 2017, is Cummins India’s annual b-school case study competition held across our partnered institutes. This event is built in a way where we intrigue the b-school students with a challenging business problem and invite them to ‘Redefine’ the solution. This gives students a flavor of the kind of projects or challenges faced by organizations across functions and the wide array of industries. Along with an opportunity to showcase their strategic, innovative and analytical ability, Redefine also provides an insight into our organization and industry. The cherry on the cake is that the winners get a mentorship program with leadership team of Cummins along with a cash prize!

Rules & Guidelines
- Participants are expected to form teams consisting of 3 members, from within their campus and only from the programs cited above
- Team Registrations will be open from September 27, 2024 and will be closed on 6:00 pm on October 10, 2024. No teams would be entertained after the cut off time.
- Please note, that it is the team's responsibility, to ensure that the members are eligible to participate in the contest
- Members with multiple nominations through different teams will result in disqualification of both the teams.
- Violation of the eligibility criteria will automatically disqualify a team and bar it from moving ahead in the contest.
- Every entry uploaded will be studied by a panel comprising of Senior Business Leaders from Cummins. The shortlisting of entries for the Campus Evaluation Round would be at the sole discretion of the panel.
- The shortlisted teams for presenting at the Campus Evaluation Round are selected on the basis on the quality of the uploaded presentation
- Top Five teams from each college (subject to receiving more entries) will be shortlisted for the Campus Evaluation Round which will be held at the respective campuses
Rewards & Benefits
Here are some cash prizes for the winners:
The winning team will be awarded with a prize of ₹ 1,50,000 (One lakh fifty thousand)
The runner up team will be awarded with a prize of ₹ 90,000 (Ninety thousand)

Only bonafide first- and second-year students from the following business schools who are enrolled in a two-year flagship (PGP/PGDM/PGDBM/MBA) programme are eligible to apply:

Please Note: Students from other streams such as the Part Time Program, Management Development Program, Executive MBA Program and those not from the above listed schools, are not eligible to participate in this competition.
Timeline
- The registration process ends on the October 10, 2024, at 6:00 pm
- The case study and quiz will be launched virtually on October 1, 2024
- Quiz will end on October 10, 2024, 6:00 pm
- Students will be provided 13 days to work on the case study
- The deadline to submit case study solutions is October 13, 2024, 11:59 pm. Entries received after the deadline will not be considered
- The results for the 1st Presentation Round will be declared on October 18, 2024
- Campus Evaluation Round, will be held on October 22, 23, 24 and 25, 2024
- The results for the Campus Evaluation Round will be declared on October 28, 2024 on the website
- Grand Finale, will be held at Cummins India Office Campus, Pune on November 14 and 15, 2024
